Today Is My 23rd Sobriety Anniversary

After waking up with a pounding headache and a horrible hangover, I made the decision to stop drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes at the same time. Life is so much clearer and stable being sober. I know that I made the best decision for my body and myself. I am so proud of my epic accomplishment!

My favorite part of reading your well wishes was reading the stories of your health traumas and recoveries. Your stories will help to carry me through on my journey of recovery so thank you, thank you, thank you!

The surgery was successful, at home recovering now. I didn’t have any panic attacks going into the OR. I didn’t wake up on the operating table while they were doing surgery. I didn’t have a stroke or major complications. I’m doing way better than I thought I would have been. Fingers crossed.
